Role and Responsibility of the Conservancy
The Roderick Gay Botanical Garden Conservancy serves as the nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the long-term development, care, operation, conservation, and promotion of the Roderick Gay Botanical Garden. The resolution establishes the Conservancy as a nonprofit organization responsible for supporting the Garden’s development, management, operations, promotion, conservation, programming, stewardship, and long-term sustainability. Working in coordination with the City of College Park, the Conservancy supports responsible stewardship of the Garden’s natural and horticultural resources, educational and community programming, fundraising and philanthropic partnerships, visitor experiences, public engagement, and the ongoing preservation and sustainability of the Garden for future generations.
