The Roderick Gay Botanical Garden Conservancy is leading the development of a transformational public botanical garden in College Park, Georgia.

In partnership with the City of College Park, this multi-phase project is designed to create a world-class eco-tourism destination focused on environmental stewardship, conservation, education, and community engagement.

Development is being completed in carefully planned phases to ensure long-term sustainability, quality construction, and preservation of the site’s natural landscape.

Phase 1: Site Preparation & Infrastructure

Establishing the foundation for long-term public use, access, and sustainability.

Laying the Foundation

The transformation begins with critical infrastructure. Phase 1 focuses on grading, drainage, and utility installation to support the garden's future growth and ensure long-term sustainability on the historic Camp Truitt site.

Key Activities Include:

Site clearing and selective demolition
Tree protection and preservation
Grading and earthwork operations
Utility installation and infrastructure development

All construction activities are being coordinated with engineers, contractors, environmental consultants, and project teams to ensure compliance with approved plans and safety standards.
